Compact Active Carbon Water Filter

The discovery of the energetic properties of carbon has been made since antiquity, taking into account the fact that the Indians used it for the purification of drinking water and the Egyptians from 1500 BC. for the detoxification of the human body, while Hippocrates often used it in his therapies.

Apply Active Coal & Its Properties

The activated carbon began to be produced industrially in the early 19th century. The first applications were the purification of drinking water and medicine. These applications, together with its use in the sugar and alcoholic beverages (and other products) industries, continue to this day.
Carbon is a 100% natural product. It is a fine, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic black powder. Common coal is produced from peat, bamboo, charcoal, wood, sawdust, coconut bark, olive kernel or even petroleum.

The activated carbon is similar to ordinary carbon, except that it has undergone an analogous treatment, that is, it is heated in vacuum air, in a controlled environment, thus converting it into a highly porous material.
The area of the thus increased greatly in size from 500 to 1500m 2 / gr, while those resources which are responsible for increasing the surface bind any undesired substances coming into contact with the liquid or gaseous form, in quantities multiplied by its weight.

One cubic centimeter of active carbon has the same area as a 50,000m 2 surface !
The ability to filter coal, what we are looking for and that is of major importance, depends on the size of the resources and their distribution, which significantly contribute to the origin of the coal and the treatment it has undergone. Because of the filtration of water, the pores gradually become blocked and when the filter "bucks" then it must be changed to have the maximum filtration effect again.

The maximum carbon filtration capacity (always compact) is 0.5m (millionths of a meter!) While its credibility (made in USA), as well as its coconut, perfect its performance .

Active compact carbon filters

This technology has combined the incredible carbon absorption capacity previously mentioned with the ability of a compact block of material to selectively drive out elements from the water passing through pressure from within. The density of the block determines how perfectly the water will be cleaned.

 Mechanical stress
The carbon block mechanically removes dirt, sediment, rust, seaweed, bacteria, microscopic worms, cryptosporidium and asbestos outwardly. All this is accomplished with water pressure so no electricity is used - such a filter can also be operated in case of need with a hand pump!

 Compound

As mentioned above, activated carbon is combined with thousands of chemicals. In fact, coal will unite in the most chemicals that man knows! When water is forced to pass through the solid blocks, it is pressed to slow its flow and increase the contact time with coal, leaving the carbon to make compounds to remove chemical pollutants such as toxic, pesticides, THM's, bleach, bad flavors, odors, etc.

Trace minerals that provide health, such as dissolved calcium and magnesium, do not mix with carbon and pass between, while maintaining the quality of the health and thus the taste of the water. Heavy metals do not join coal, but they are pushed out of the block's pores - basically like "trying" to fit a basketball ball into a ping pong!

Prevention of bacterial growth

The bacteria are extruded outward and remain outside of the carbon block. Therefore, because of the density and lack of oxygen and space within the block, the bacteria can not be born / thrive in the middle and come out of the finished water.

Handy

This type of system provides clean water in demand so there is no storage, nor is it exhausted at convenient times, nor bottles are ordered.

Active carbon filters: An inexpensive solution

This type of filter is replaced, with a 12 month spare part (depending on the amount of dirt and sediment). The cartridge is designed to be replaced in few minutes at home by the owner as we change a lamp. The shell with the replacement is very easy to install. It can also be connected to the ice maker with automatic ice makers and water dispensers so all the house water is filtered.
